This past week we created the most amazing “mastered 70 years” Masters golf themed party. This surprise birthday party was for a golf loving man who just turned 70. We took the Masters to a whole new level.

Masters Golf Themed Party

Masters Golf Themed Party:

Here is everything you need to make a mastered golf themed birthday party! If you want to see more of our catering designs and menus check us out on social.

I am going to share all the party ideas, party decorations, party supplies you will need, menu ideas and list everything you need to make this golf party come to life but first lets talk about how you can utilize this theme!

What you can use a Masters golf themed party for:

Masters Party ideas
There are so many great ways to incorporate the masters theme. Here are just some ideas.

Graduation party: “mastered college”, “mastered middle school”, ” mastered elementary school” you can use this theme for any graduation party!

First birthday: This is a fun one for a first birthday! “Mastered One” is becoming really popular right now.

Any Birthday: Any birthday would be perfect to utilize this theme. Mastered 70 years is how we incorporated it, but you can fill in any age!

Anniversary Party: Another way to use this theme is to put the number of years for the anniversary after “Mastered” and you got yourself a fun and creative theme for an anniversary party.

Rehearsal dinner: A fun way to celebrate the bride and groom would be a “Mastered Love” themed party.

Masters Golf Themed Party Decorations and Table scape:

Golf party decorations don’t have to be expensive or crazy! Here are my decorations and table scape ideas for this themed party! And you don’t have to spend a ton of money.

I have linked everything below that I used, but feel free to get creative and use things around your house like golf balls, tees or even florals from your yard!

Here is out table scapes:

Masters Golf Themed Birthday

White tablecloths: These white tablecloths fit 6 feet tables. We use these for almost all of our events!

Green and white gingham table cloths: These are the table cloths I used for toppers to add a pop of color to the buffet table and drink station. They can also be used on the dining tables as well.

Grass runner: These come in a pack of 8 and were so darling on the tables! You can use these for so many different themes too like picnic or BBQ themes, soccer themes, football or superbowl parties the list goes on and on!

Green plastic plates: Loved the color of these and they were great quality!

Reusable chargers: These are also great for multiple different themes and can be reused. They are much cheaper than most chargers!

Silverware: The gold and faux wood handles on these plastic silverware totally tied in the golf theme and added some natural looking elements to the tables.

Napkins: These added a really great pop of color and were super high quality.

Plastic reusable glassware: These reusable outdoor glasses are so cute and also can be used for so many different events.

Masters Golf Themed Florals:

I am a sucker for florals at an event, but they can add significant cost. That is why I love going to my local wholesale flower mart to not only save money, but to find unique flowers. Always check ahead of time if your wholesale flower mart is open to the public. Mine is open to the public, but I have to pay sales tax.

Flowers If you do not have a whole slate market you can always grab beautiful flowers from Trader Joes!

For the florals I headed to the OC flower mart. I needed up doing about 20 arrangements for under $500. That may seem like a lot, but I bought some of the more expensive flowers and I love how they turned out!

I stuck with whites, greens, and yellows. I also grabbed these red flags to place in them and I think it added a cute touch! You could also use these flags and write table numbers on them if you are doing a more formal seating.

Drink Station:

For the drink station we tied in the theme by getting acrylic signs made from Etsy. The lady I worked with was amazing and I think they turned out so good. I’ll link her down below under the signage section.

We made a rattan looking one that said hole 19 and then a green acrylic sign that read refreshment cart.

For the drinks we made a lemonade full of fresh fruit and mint and lemon water served in these cute containers. I also recommend to utilize cake stands when using canisters like this so people can easily fill their glasses. The rattan cake stand was such a cute way to tie in the theme.

Italian Soda Bar Ideas:

We also created an Italian soda bar that was a huge hit!

Here is everything you need to create the perfect Italian soda bar.

Plastic cups with lids

Yellow straws

Torino syrups

Syrup holder

Acrylic stands

Bar Condiment holder

To stock your Italian soda bar grab some sodas like sprite, root beer, Diet Coke, Dr Pepper and orange soda. You can also grab some sparkling water like Perrier.

I like to order syrups flavors like watermelon, coconut, lime, blue raspberry, orange or strawberry. You can also make your own additive free syrups with this recipe!

Next is filling the bar condiment container with some fun toppings. I like to add maraschino cherries, fresh mint and the sliced oranges, limes and lemons.

Fill a little glass jar with some heavy cream and place over ice and then make sure to have an ice bucket full of ice for your guests to fill their cups.

You can even create a fun menu so that they have some drink ideas. Here are some great flavor combinations. Again have fun and utilize funny golf sayings.

  • Fore: Diet Coke, 2 pumps coconut syrup, fresh squeezed lime, maraschino cherry.
  • Hole in one: sprite, 2 pumps watermelon syrup, fresh squeezed lime, fresh mint
  • Birdie: Orange soda, 2 pumps coconut syrup, orange slice, maraschino cherry
  • Hole 18: Dr Pepper, 1 pumps coconut syrup, 1 pump strawberry

Signage:

Signage makes your event feel more elevated and ties everything together.

Have fun with the signage. Utilize Etsy to get acrylic signs made. Here is the lady I used! She did an amazing job.

I am in an acrylic kick right now, but feel free to utilize Canva to create a design and print it instead. You can frame the menu and place on a stand as well.

Whether you are doing the menu we chose below or any other menus utilize titles like “hole in one” or “the sand trap salad” these can add an extra special touch to your signage and ties into the theme.

Masters Golf Themed Party Backdrop We created the pro shop with these bookcases from Target and made it extra special by using these paper awnings. We got this amazing Pro Shop sign on Etsy which at the end of the night all the guests signed.

pro shop We filled the pro shop with a variety of green and yellow items. Fill your pro shop with these personalized mastered fatherhood shirts, socks, golf balls, tumblers, geometry towels, sunglasses, candy, chips, beef sticks or anything else you can think of. You can even go to the dollar store and find things that match your color palate.
